It's essential that we involve our community in shaping our work.

We're seeking a Senior Community Engagement Specialist to join our Community Engagement team on a permanent full-time basis at our Perth Office – CBD. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our team and contribute to the delivery of some of Western Power's key infrastructure projects.

The Senior Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for delivering proactive, hands-on strategic planning expertise to support internal and external engagement activities. They will contribute to the development and implementation of Western Power's community and stakeholder engagement approach for new infrastructure and maintenance projects.

The successful applicant will design and deliver engagement strategies for multiple projects consistent with Western Power's brand and strategic objectives. This will include developing communications such as digital media content, project collateral, promotional material, media releases, and publications, as well as identifying innovative ways to engage communities using digital tools and media.

The Senior Community Engagement Specialist will also manage relationships with key stakeholders, particularly Local Government and project partners, to ensure their communications activities are strategically aligned with Western Power. They will engage rural stakeholders and communities, and have experience in regional engagement is desirable.

The successful applicant will strongly influence the internal awareness and acceptance of Western Power's approach to community engagement and social performance, and advocate for community input to decision making. They will also evaluate, advise, and report on all project communications and engagement progress and issues.

We're committed to our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2021 - 2027 and ensuring that people with disability have equal opportunities to gain and maintain employment with Western Power.
