Children's Nurse

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This will involve assessing, planning, and evaluating individual patient needs, as well as communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing evidence-based care to children and families, promoting health education and health promotion issues.
- Supervising and mentoring junior nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance to deliver high-quality care.
- Participating in the introduction of evidence-based practice to improve patient-centered care, and contributing to the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Undertaking manual handling assessments and ensuring identified actions are met, as well as having a working knowledge of safeguarding and taking responsibility for the ongoing care of children in need.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant post-basic leadership course.
- Proven evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development.
- Proven knowledge of patient administration systems.
- Proven intravenous therapy skills.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity, and effectiveness at all levels.
- Effective influencing skills, including general and senior healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated potential management abilities.
