Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse to join our Endoscopy team as a Nurse Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring the delivery of efficient and productive services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support and assist in the management of the Endoscopy Unit
  • Develop and implement programs of care for patients, including discharge planning
  • Act as a named nurse/key worker for a defined group of patients
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs
  • Support the endoscopy Pre-Assessment team and emergency out-of-hours service
  • Participate in preceptorship programs and act as a facilitator, mentor, and role model to student nurses and junior staff
  • Develop and sustain own knowledge, clinical skills, and professional awareness in accordance with NMC requirements
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced endoscopy nurse to join our friendly and dynamic team. You will be based at Worcester Royal Hospital, where we provide a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including emergency out-of-hours services and pre-assessment clinics.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse on sub-part 1 or 2 of the professional register
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • NMC recognized Mentorship qualification
  • Desirable: Teaching and Assessing qualification, Experience in Gastrointestinal Nursing Training (facilitator), Recognized Leadership Course
