Job Title: Book to Film Literary Assistant

Job Summary:

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is a leading entertainment, media, and sports agency seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Book to Film Literary Assistant to support our publishing and book to film and television operations in London. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Agents to manage a busy diary, contacts lists, travel booking, scheduling, and expenses. You will also be responsible for logging deals, managing multiple databases, and liaising with our Business Affairs and Accounts departments to track payments and contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a busy diary and contacts lists, travel booking, scheduling, and expenses
  • Log deals on behalf of the Literary Agents
  • Manage multiple databases, from publication to rights
  • Liaise with our Business Affairs and Accounts departments to track payments and contracts
  • Read and comment on new material and submissions, and manage incoming submissions
  • Deal with enquiries about rights
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client enquiries
  • Field phone calls and emails for the Agents
  • Correspondence drafting

Requirements:

  • Possess a passion for books, reading, and watching films and television
  • Have a keen interest in developing a career in the publishing or film and television industries
  • Have solid administrative experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience with Outlook and other MS Office programmes
  • Additional language skills are desirable but not essential
