About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Educator to join our team at Barking & Dagenham College. As an IT Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the IT industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons, including the development of schemes of work and assessment methods.

Student Support and Progression

You will work closely with students to monitor their progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their development and future progression.

Industry Knowledge and CPD

You will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching and learning skills.

Collaboration and Teamwork

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, and contribute to the overall success of the college.

Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience

You will hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors, or have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course you will be delivering, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support.

Administrative Skills

You will have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress, and achievements.

Personality and Skills

You will be passionate about education and success, and have the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
