About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Media Instructor to join our team at Barking & Dagenham College. As a Digital Media Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing various subjects within digital media, including game design, 3D modeling, game development, and film.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Development: Plan and develop engaging lessons, including the creation of schemes of work, to ensure students receive a high-quality education.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Develop and implement learner-centered assessment methods, focusing on constructive and developmental feedback to support student growth.
  • Student Support and Progression: Monitor and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements, providing personalized support to ensure students reach their full potential.

Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification: Hold a teaching qualification and have experience teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors.
  • Subject Expertise: Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in a subject relevant to the courses delivered in digital media, and a Level 3 qualification in the subject area.
  • Teaching Experience: Have recent and relevant experience teaching digital media subjects to learners from Level 1 to Level 6 higher education.
  • Excellent Teaching and Assessment Skills: Demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent teaching, learning, and assessment pedagogic practices.
  • Administrative Skills: Possess good administrative skills, including the ability to accurately track student attendance, progress, and achievements.
