Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Team Member to join our team at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients who are undergoing rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Care: To monitor and manage the clinical needs of individual clients, ensuring their physical and personal wellbeing is maintained at a high standard.
  • Care Planning: To implement and evaluate the efficacy of care plans and therapy guidelines for all clients, working closely with the Head of Nursing and Rehabilitation Support.
  • Medication Administration: To administer and audit medication in conjunction with the Head of Nursing and Rehabilitation Support.
  • Continence Care: To manage, monitor, assess, and implement continence plans of care for clients, following liaison with the Continence Advisor.
  • Record Keeping: To create and maintain accurate and legible records of clinical care.
  • Team Collaboration: To liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and external professionals, including medical personnel, as required.
  • Staff Development: To advise and train staff on the clinical care needs of all clients.
  • Health and Safety: To comply with the requirements of employees under the Health & Safety at Work Act and report any incidents, accidents, or hazards to your line manager.
  • Team Building: To assist in building and maintaining good staff relationships within the department, ensuring a high standard of work as an effective team.
  • Discharge Planning: To work with the multi-disciplinary team to undertake effective discharge planning.

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and experienced nursing professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to individuals with disabilities. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
