We are looking for a highly motivated individual to contribute to our Haematology and Transfusion departments. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team within a well-equipped laboratory environment. Our current technology includes advanced analysers for blood counts, coagulation, blood grouping, and screening for haemoglobinopathies. We adhere to strict accreditation standards under ISO and MHRA compliance.

Candidate Requirements

We invite applications from qualified Biomedical Scientists who possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to effectively organize and lead staff. The successful candidate will assist the Blood Sciences management team in delivering a high-quality, cost-effective laboratory service.

Candidates must be HCPC registered and demonstrate technical proficiency in Blood Transfusion and Haematology. An IBMS specialist portfolio in these areas or an equivalent UK-recognized qualification, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an NHS medical laboratory, is essential.

The ideal applicant will have experience working collaboratively within a laboratory team, demonstrating strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer usage. Excellent communication abilities are crucial for this position. Following appropriate training, participation in a 24/7 shift service will be required.
