We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Fisheries Consultant to enhance our consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project proposals and respond to tenders
  • Conduct field assessments and surveys
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Oversee project permissions and compliance
  • Lead the technical design of fish and eel passage systems
  • Produce detailed technical reports and offer expert guidance to clients and team members
  • Manage project budgets and schedules effectively
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and CAD specialists
  • Evaluate technical outputs against industry benchmarks

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or environmental field
  • Experience in environmental consultancy
  • Valid driving license
  • Expertise in fish and eel passage design
  • Proficient in technical report writing
  • Knowledge of fisheries regulations
  • Experience in project management

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in a scientific or environmental discipline
  • Familiarity with MS Project
  • Chartered Environmentalist status
  • Experience with GIS or CAD software
  • Certification in project management
