About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a large SEND school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students with complex needs, including autism. The successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy and be able to adapt to the needs of the students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, including autism
  • Assist in lessons and activities to promote student engagement and learning
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student behavior and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress

Requirements:

  • DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Educational background or work experience relevant to the position
  • Specialized training or working experience in autism education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
