Purpose and Scope

To provide an efficient and effective administrative function to the business, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming and outgoing vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, hauliers, and drivers, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming phone calls, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Utilise company systems, including SAP and Vision, to plan and execute daily operations, ensuring optimal stock management and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to deliver high levels of customer service, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate stock management, including customer and IPS stock accuracy, inbound and outbound systems.
  • Adhere to customer Ways of Working and systems of work, completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety instructions, maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Specific Skills
  • Effective communication at various levels across the business and externally with customers and hauliers.
  • Understanding of internal warehouse systems and customer systems and processes, with the ability to work within these parameters.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, ensuring compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Ability to train department colleagues and share knowledge in the safe and effective use of company equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office programmes, Word, Excel, and Email.
  • Responsibility for inputting customer and IPS data for stock integrity and control.
  • Flexibility to undertake additional training when required to effectively use proposed IPS and customer stock management systems.
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work, prioritising a changing and fast-moving daily workload.
  • Approachable for all departments dealt with in the course of carrying out duties.
