About the Role

Staff Selection UK Ltd is currently working with an expanding client in the manufacturing sector, who are seeking to add to their team with General Labourers.

Our client has a strong reputation for rewarding hard work and offers opportunities for career progression, including bonus and pay increases, as well as training and qualifications.

This role is advertised as temporary, however after 12 weeks, you will become a permanent member of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading goods as required
  • Moving pallets and loading machines with various sized products
  • Labelling pallets and boxes
  • Checking end products before packing
  • Performing other general duties, including helping to maintain a clean and organized workspace

You will be working as part of a large team in a busy environment to ensure that all clients receive their bulk orders on time.

Working Hours

Your working week will be Monday to Friday, with a rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1: 6am - 3:45pm
  • Week 2: 3:45pm - 1:30am

Your salary will start at £12 per hour, with overtime paid at £15.96 after 39 hours.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a workshop or fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Ability to manually lift products repetitively
  • Experience working with machinery is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to travel to and from site outside of public transport due to the start and finish times
