Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electric Powertrain Programmes Manager to join our talented Vehicle Electrification Team at Forseven. This role will report to the Engineering Manager – Powertrain Delivery and will be based in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of Electric Powertrain systems for various vehicle programmes.
  • Ensure that Cost, Quality, and Timing targets are met through effective project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical proposals to customers and suppliers, showcasing Forseven's expertise in electric powertrains.
  • Lead a team to create EV Architectures and integrate technology solutions, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Report progress and milestones to the Programme Management Office (PMO), ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure that components are correctly specified and comply with regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Oversee the Design for Manufacturability and Engineering (DFMEA) process, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Act as a point of escalation for integration issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Manage risks and faults effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to programmes.
  • Support the recruitment and development of the team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics, Control Systems, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Experience in Electric Powertrains and high-volume vehicle programmes, with a strong understanding of electric powertrain architectures and technologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Project management qualifications are a plus, demonstrating expertise in APQP, six sigma, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the V-Cycle and automotive project engineering, with a full understanding of the development process.
  • Full driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK and travel in the EU, with a flexible approach to work.
