Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager

Fledglings Child Care is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our residential care team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Provide inspirational leadership and management to our residential care team, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that our home meets the highest standards of quality, as outlined in the Children's Homes Regulations and the Care Standards Act 2000.
  • Safeguarding: Take lead responsibility for safeguarding our young people, ensuring that they are protected from harm and that all necessary procedures are in place.
  • Staff Management: Manage and develop our residential care staff, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Budget Management: Manage and operate budgets within agreed guidelines, ensuring that our home is financially sustainable.
  • Compliance: Ensure that our home complies with all relevant regulations and standards, including the Children's Homes Regulations and the Care Standards Act 2000.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working with young people in residential care, with a minimum of 1 year in a senior role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, staff, and stakeholders. Ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Competitive Salary: £45k-£60k per annum.
