About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior General Manager to join our team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our service strategy, business plan, and key performance and activity targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective business plans and strategies to drive service improvement and financial performance.
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services and achieve key performance targets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain effective systems of integrated governance and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of quality and patient safety.
  • Participate in the Trust's on-call rota and provide leadership and support to colleagues as required.

Requirements
  • Significant experience working on both strategic and operational matters in the NHS or public sector.
  • Proven success in building, leading, motivating, and developing multidisciplinary teams as a highly effective people manager.
  • Experience of effective performance and budgetary management and control.
  • Proven success in business planning and in the development of business cases.
  • Leadership of complex operational change/project management while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality.
