About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting Key Stage 1 students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students who require extra support with their learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Support students who need extra help with their learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy
  • Lead small group interventions to help students achieve their academic targets
  • Provide 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them fully participate in classroom activities
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within Key Stage 1
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • An understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and experience in delivering interventions would be an advantage
