Administrative Assistant, Resident Care Specialist

Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant, Resident Care will provide administrative support to the Nursing Department, ensuring the smooth operation of resident care programs and services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate staff replacements for the Nursing Department.
- Prepare and manage payroll documentation for Nursing Department staff.
- Coordinate care conferences, schedules, and meetings for residents, family members, and staff.
- Coordinate schedules of home physicians and specialists.
- Coordinate committee meetings and nursing staff education.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and inquiries related to the Nursing Department.
- Perform administrative duties, including managing resident charts, records, and mail, taking minutes during meetings, and updating lists.
- Purchase, receive, and organize nursing supplies and equipment; maintain inventory storage rooms and lists.
- Assist Social Services in processing applications for Home residency and correspond with residents and families.
- Provide clerical support to the multidisciplinary care team of the Home.
- Participate in facility-wide quality assurance programs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is an asset.
- Ability to undertake general office duties.
- Commitment to excellence and teamwork.
- Demonstrates core competencies, including customer service, continuous improvement, leadership, and initiatives.
- Adheres to professional competencies, including caring and respectful behavior, strong communication and interpersonal skills, good typing skills, conflict management skills, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer literacy, familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, etc.
- Experience in using ADP and PointClickCare is an asset.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
