About the Role

As a Proposal Writer at Ridge, you will be tasked with crafting high-quality documentation to support engaging and complex work-winning endeavors. Collaborating with colleagues across various departments, you will produce tender submissions, capability statements, CVs, case studies, award entries, brochures, thought leadership articles, and digital content. You will be part of a collaborative community, working alongside the broader bids and proposals, graphic design, and marketing teams, as well as architects, engineers, and property consultants, from entry-level to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Compose and assemble bids for technical tender submissions, coordinating with marketing personnel, team assistants, partners, bid leaders, and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Develop written solutions to identified challenges and questions, coordinating responses from other contributors.
  • Review and proofread all submissions from fellow bid team members.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, brand guidelines, and visual identity.
  • Manage multiple bids concurrently.
  • Assist in maintaining our library of bid resources, including model responses, project case studies, and CVs.
  • Utilize the Open Asset system to create and update case studies in collaboration with relevant team members.
  • Compile presentations and brochures, incorporating graphical elements.
  • Produce letters, minutes, reports, and other documents to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with the wider Ridge Marketing Team in the delivery and updating of marketing materials.
  • Archive files and update in-house systems upon project completion.
  • Assist in organizing marketing events, which may involve travel and attendance.
  • Share and gather office news for internal and external communication.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in a bid writing role for public sector submissions within the construction or professional services sector.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, capable of translating technical or corporate language into clear and accessible English.
  • High attention to detail with excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong winning themes throughout submissions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at synthesizing ideas and information from diverse sources into cohesive submissions.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to proactively organize workload and motivate oneself to meet key milestones and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively use varying tones of voice appropriate for different formats and audiences.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to engage and influence a range of key stakeholders.
