Graduate Building Surveyor

Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Graduate Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing commercial performance across various contracts and projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert guidance and support during the tendering, negotiation, and subcontracting processes.
- Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing pre-tender estimates, cost planning, and modeling design options.
- Ensuring compliance with contract administration requirements and corporate governance standards.
- Collaborating with Project Managers to maintain effective cost control on a daily basis.
- Preparing detailed cost inputs for monthly reports related to subcontracting and facilities.
- Reviewing cost plans from subcontractors and establishing baseline budgets in coordination with project staff.
- Monitoring and reporting on subcontract costs, man-hours, and future cost trends.
- Evaluating subcontractor claims within your financial authority.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrable experience in quantity surveying within a construction environment.
- A strong understanding of contract negotiation and cost management.
- Proficiency in utilizing forecasting tools, including Earned Value analysis.
