This position will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and provides a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.

This role is designed for individuals eager to enhance their expertise through hands-on experience in management and financial oversight, including the preparation and evaluation of financial reports, tax calculations, and related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of three professionals (Financial Accountant, Finance Assistant, and Supported Living Accountant)
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Group's external auditors
  • Ensure effective balance sheet management to promote best practices
  • Oversee the preparation of:
    • Consolidated financial statements for the Group and individual legal entities
    • Corporation tax calculations and iXBRLs
    • Quarterly condensed financial reports
  • Stay informed on accounting standards to facilitate technical accounting
  • Continuously maintain the fixed asset register, IFRS16 leases, and intercompany balances
  • Participate in special projects such as acquisition integrations or system enhancements
  • Provide support to various teams within the Finance department

Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or nearing completion of studies
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail
