Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become a part of the Urgent Treatment Centre team within our esteemed healthcare organization. This role is designated for a qualified Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) at Band 7 level.

The ideal candidate must possess a recognized qualification, along with relevant training and experience in emergency nursing or a comparable field if allied health professional (AHP).

Candidates currently in training as ENPs should be actively engaged in or completing an accredited Minor Injuries Course, which includes X-ray interpretation, and be ready to pursue additional training post-appointment.

We encourage applications from professionals eligible for non-medical prescribing as per current statutory guidelines.

The successful applicant should demonstrate a strong commitment to personal development and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, contributing to the advancement of the practice strategy within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and clinical examinations, to accurately diagnose and implement treatment plans for a variety of medical conditions.

Additionally, the practitioner will evaluate treatment effectiveness, manage patient discharges, and refer to specialists when necessary. As an independent practitioner, the individual will operate within their professional scope and adhere to established local policies and procedures.

The role also involves promoting health and wellness among patients, providing health education, and serving as a mentor to fellow staff members and nursing students.

Continuous professional development is expected, with support from the organization to maintain up-to-date skills and competencies, review and revise local policies and procedures, and engage in clinical research initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
