We are working with a specialist contractor in the facades sector, who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual elements of façade projects, ensuring cost control, procurement management, and smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Procurement Management: Source and evaluate tenders from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
  2. Financial Control: Monitor and report on project costs, preparing interim valuations, managing variations, and final accounts.
  3. Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including preparing valuations, managing changes to the scope of work, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  4. Client Liaison: Maintain close communication with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure all requirements are met within the financial framework.
  5. Cost Control: Monitor the costs associated with materials and labour, ensuring projects stay on budget and within scope.
  6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to costs and contracts and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Excellent knowledge of construction contracts.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and project costs effectively.
  4. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.
