Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia (Generalist) at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. The job plan will include 10 programmed activities, including 1 SPA, with no initial on-call commitment. However, participation in the 1:12 consultant on-call rota or 1:6 weekend trauma lists will be expected after an initial period of settling into the role.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • At least seven years anaesthetic experience at senior level
  • EPALS/APLS training
  • CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia or eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview
  • Broad experience in perioperative medicine for high-risk patients
