Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our residential childcare team at New Forest Care. As a key member of our ARC (Activity Residential Care) service, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children who require short-term care and guidance.

About the Role:
  • Provide excellent unconditional care for our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and everyday needs are met.
  • Maintain the home and welfare of each child, ensuring they access a healthy balanced diet and routine.
  • Support children to develop self-esteem, a feeling of safety, and personal strategies to deal with unhelpful behavior and thoughts.
  • Contribute to reports and assessments, and provide a consistent, high-quality service that supports the assessed needs of residents.
  • Support and promote a positive safeguarding culture, and actively engage in promoting creativity, openness, and a strong teamwork ethic.
Requirements:
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model.
  • Able to do overnight sleep-ins, which are part of the role.
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Flexible, working a residential care rota that includes evening, weekends, and holiday periods.
