About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our residential childcare team at New Forest Care. As a key member of our ARC (Activity Residential Care) service, you will play a vital role in providing excellent care for vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide unconditional care and support to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and everyday needs are met.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including a balanced diet and routine, and ensure children attend health appointments and education.
  • Contribute to daily records and reports, advocating for the well-being of residents and promoting a positive safeguarding culture.
  • Engage children in activities that promote self-esteem, safety, and personal strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Support and promote a positive teamwork ethic, valuing and supporting colleagues to make a difference in the lives of others.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children and challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to do overnight sleep-ins and work a residential care rota, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviors and a commitment to being a positive role model.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
