Position Overview: We are seeking a temporary Personal Assistant to provide maternity leave coverage.

General Information:

We are looking for a compassionate and understanding individual to assist a 31-year-old woman who requires support in her daily activities. The candidate should be prepared to offer guidance and reassurance, as the individual experiences challenges related to Asperger's syndrome, depression, and audio processing difficulties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate access to local activities and accompany the individual for social outings.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining daily routines.
  • Support travel on public transport to enhance familiarity and confidence with local routes.
  • Ensure safety and well-being at all times.
  • Recognize signs of anxiety and fatigue, providing appropriate interventions such as finding a quiet space or offering reassurance.
  • Help maintain focus on important tasks.
  • Contribute to creating a structured and organized home environment.
  • Assist with correspondence, including reading and explaining mail, and contacting service providers on behalf of the individual.
  • Coordinate appointments and meetings, ensuring attendance and clear communication regarding outcomes and follow-up actions.
  • Support learning of appropriate social cues.

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges or Asperger's syndrome is highly desirable.

  • Able to build rapport easily.
