About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to patients in our acute inpatient service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with complex mental health needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior medical staff
  • Participate in service development and improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practise
  • Approved clinician status and S12 approval
  • Experience of working in an inpatient setting and assessing and treating patients with complex mental health needs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
