Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients in a community setting.

The Consultant Psychiatrist will provide medical input to the Bristol Mental Health Assessment and Recovery South Team, working closely with other clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. They will also have strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage their own time and workload effectively.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services in Bristol. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop their skills and expertise in a supportive and challenging environment.

The Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of mental health conditions, providing medical input to the Assessment and Recovery Team, and working closely with other clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a MB BS or equivalent medical qualification, with a licence to practise and be included on the GMC Specialist Register. They must also have experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting and have strong communication and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will also have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and develop their skills and expertise in a supportive and challenging environment.
