Key Responsibilities:

General Quality Control Inspection includes:
  • Reviewing Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and related QA & NDT documentation.
  • Interpreting requirements to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Collaborating with QA Manager, QC-Lead, and Project Leads regarding documentation submissions and QA project requirements.
  • Ensuring WPS conformity (verifying that the WPS aligns with material type, thickness, and diameter).
  • Managing consumable control (ensuring the correct consumables are used according to applicable WPSs).
  • Conducting weld fit-up inspections (verifying that the preparation for welding meets WPS requirements).
  • Overseeing welder qualifications (ensuring welders are qualified and maintaining records).
  • Performing cleanliness inspections (ensuring the welding area is free from debris and protected from environmental factors).
  • Monitoring material traceability (ensuring accurate tracking of heat codes).
  • Controlling materials (ensuring materials match isometric drawings).
  • Conducting visual inspections of welds and materials (identifying defects).
  • Preventing cross-contamination (ensuring carbon steel and stainless steel do not come into contact).
  • Ensuring dimensional control (verifying fabrication against isometric drawings).
  • Managing calibration control (ensuring machinery and measuring equipment are calibrated).
  • Conducting parameter checks (adhering to WPS parameters).
  • Performing line walks/construction inspections (ensuring installations match isometric drawings).
  • Raising Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) as necessary and liaising with Client's QA/QC departments.
  • Maintaining all quality documentation/records within the Company's Combined Management System (CMS).
  • Supporting a strong workshop HSE culture.
Work Packs:
  • Ensuring all associated reports have required signatures and are correctly stamped, with no blank fields.
  • Maintaining dates in the correct sequential order.
  • Verifying revisions against procedures.
  • Ensuring FUDS are correct with no blanks.
  • Confirming SQEP personnel sign the appropriate boxes and understand inspection points.

Qualifications:
  • CSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspector or 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector.
  • PCN Level 2 - Radiographic Interpretation.
  • Recognized Internal Auditor qualification.
  • ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering/BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent experience.
