About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Inspector to join our team. As an Aerospace Inspector, you will be responsible for checking components against relevant documented specifications, ensuring that the equipment used is appropriate for the product, and developing, storing, selecting, and using the correct programs to generate the required reporting content, accuracy, and documentation within our Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all company policies surrounding material handling, health & safety, quality requirements, and housekeeping are met.
- Interpret or evaluate inspection measurements in accordance with applicable specifications or procedures.
- Review nonconforming product and determine and take the most appropriate action utilizing all available data sources, experience, and knowledge.
- Review and suggest existing and new products which are appropriate for CMM inspection.
- Review CMM equipment, tooling, and process and identify efficiencies and improvements.
- Interpret the results of all methods of inspection.
- Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the QC inspection of products or materials.
- Conduct pre-operation daily and other checks on equipment where required.
- Prepare inspection reports.
- Raise and process NCR's as required and determine and take the most appropriate action, using all available relevant data sources.
- Educated to a good standard of high school education or equivalent (Essential).
- Qualified or time served CNC machinist with working knowledge of Mitutoyo crysta Apex c & ZWICK 4150BK extended Rockwell tester (Desirable).
