We are currently recruiting for an Electronics Engineer to join our team at Computer Futures in London & S.E. as a permanent or contract employee. You will be responsible for carrying out electronics design and development activities relating to power and control electronics for automotive engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of electronics systems and components for automotive applications.
  • Design of low voltage analog and digital electronics, including power electronics devices and assemblies.
  • Specification and requirement capture according to industry design standards and processes.
  • Support device selection relating to Microcontrollers and FPGAs, and participate in design reviews of electronics/software projects.
  • Preparation and release of component specifications, Bill of Materials, and drawings, and carry out testing and verification of power electronics devices and assemblies.
  • Investigation and resolution of development, launch, and ongoing quality issues involving electronic assemblies, and implement engineering change requests.
  • Maintenance of detailed design records and preparation and review of electronic design documentation.

Required Education and Industry Experience:

  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools, and analog and digital design skills.
  • Knowledge of standard busses such as SPI, UART, and interfacing to external components like Flash memory and ADCs.
  • Experience with failure mode avoidance and associated processes such as DFMEA and FTA.
  • Design experience with low voltage analog and digital electronics for automotive ECUs, and experience implementing automotive communication busses such as CAN and Flexray.
