Electronics Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Computer Futures - London & S.E. (Permanent and Contract). As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronics systems for automotive engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronics systems for automotive applications.
  • Develop low voltage analog and digital electronics.
  • Specify and capture requirements according to industry design standards.
  • Support device selection for Microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Participate in design reviews of electronics/software projects.
  • Prepare and release component specifications, Bill of Materials, and drawings.
  • Test and verify power electronics devices and assemblies.
  • Investigate and resolve development, launch, and ongoing quality issues involving electronic assemblies.
  • Implement engineering change requests and maintain detailed design records.
  • Prepare and review electronic design documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
  • Strong analog and digital design skills.
  • Knowledge of standard busses such as SPI, UART, and interfacing to external components like Flash memory and ADCs.
  • Failure mode avoidance experience with knowledge of associated processes such as DFMEA and FTA.
  • Design experience with low voltage analog and digital electronics for automotive ECUs.
  • Experience implementing automotive communication busses such as CAN and Flexray.
