About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care as a Maternity Leave Cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs and autism spectrum disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of complex clients in an in-patient setting
  • Assess, advise, and intervene to promote functional communication systems and optimal independence
  • Train others, promote good practice, and maintain a successful total communication environment
  • Screen, assess, and manage eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties
Requirements
  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC
  • Experience in adult mental health and/or ASD
  • Dysphagia qualification desirable
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Passionate about student education
