Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Verto People is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling measuring tools, metrology, and engineering products to end-users and industrial distributors in the East Midlands up to Yorkshire and to the East of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of the sales strategy
  • Sell measuring tools, metrology, and engineering products to end-users and industrial distributors
  • Manage and support an existing customer base
  • Customer visits and sales calls
  • Working from home covering the East Midlands up to Yorkshire and to the East of the UK
  • Selling into the precision engineering and manufacturing industry
  • Manage own appointments with buyers and engineers of existing and prospective customers
  • Develop business relationships with key accounts to maximize business
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities
  • Work alongside specialists to develop technical customer quotations
  • Attend exhibitions
Requirements:
  • Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Executive, or internal sales engineer looking to progress into area sales
  • An engineering sales background
  • Experience selling engineering products, metrology, measuring instruments, industrial measurement equipment, precision tools, workholding, workshop tools, machine tools, accessories, cutting tools, machining products, or similar
  • Engineering qualification or apprentice-trained
  • Full UK driving license
