We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analyst to join our team at The Crown Estate. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of cutting-edge leasing models, pricing strategies, and commercial arrangements that drive value, mitigate risk, and support the achievement of our strategic goals.
Main Responsibilities- Commercial Analysis and Insight: Provide detailed commercial analysis and insight to support the development of leasing models and other commercial arrangements, including pricing strategies. This should include consideration of implications and sensitivities across all aspects of our Value Creation Framework (VCF) to ensure we are taking a holistic view of value creation.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analysis to provide insights and inform pricing and commercial decisions.
- Commercial Advisory: Support the Commercial Advisory Team in collaborating with sector teams on their commercial model design to support the achievement of our strategic goals and ensure alignment with business case development and decision-making processes.
- Integrated Business Cases: Support the development of integrated business cases aligned to our Enterprise Investment Strategy.
- Model Development: Creation and maintenance of required model(s) to translate new commercial arrangements into outputs that demonstrate alignment with all aspects of the VCF.
- Output Presentation: Presentation of outputs to relevant Senior Managers/Directors for approval.
- Ad Hoc Support: Ad hoc analysis and support as requested by the Head of Commercial Finance (Marine).
- Commercial Analysis Skills: Proficiency in commercial analysis, including pricing, and risk management.
- Data Analysis and Modelling: Strong data analysis, modelling and presentation skills, with an ability to extract key understandings and simplify messaging from complex data.
- Decision Making: Strong skills to inform decision-making and pricing models.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Understanding of compliance and risk management principles.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaboration and communication skills to work closely with sector teams.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the Energy or Infrastructure sector would be a preferable.
- Professional Qualifications: Holding an ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification would be preferable.
