About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our business teaching team at City of Portsmouth College. As a Business and Digital Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality learning opportunities to our students, focusing on business topics such as management, administration, marketing, finance, and HR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach on a range of programmes, providing flexible assessment opportunities and closely monitoring student retention, achievement, and success.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes, including producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans.
  • Work collaboratively within the business team to deliver a responsive business curriculum and maintain quality assurance of programmes delivered.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business or related subject areas, or vocational experience in the business sector.
  • Post-graduate Teaching Qualification (or willingness to undertake studies towards a PGCE, with full support from the College).
  • Experience planning, delivering, and assessing business programmes is desirable.
  • Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional updating and development.
  • A professional approach with a commitment to excellence and quality.
  • An excellent communicator and supportive team member.
