About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at BMSL Group Ltd and contribute to a prestigious nuclear energy project.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems that meet stringent safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for nuclear energy projects, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations to support project designs.
  • Conduct electrical system analysis, including load flow, short-circuit, and protective device coordination studies to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input and recommendations to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Support the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the design and development process, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to stay current with industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the nuclear industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, analysis techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using engineering design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools).
  • Experience with nuclear safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
