Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, working on the Nuclear Power Programmes. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering electrical design solutions for our major UK and European projects, including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

Your primary focus will be on supporting the construction of the two EPRs, addressing site requests on electrical scope, and collaborating with our embedded teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions for nuclear power projects, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with site teams to address requests on electrical scope, gathering input data, performing calculations, and ensuring design impacts are well-managed.
  • Contribute to the closure of design open points after delivering electrical design packages to site.
  • Anticipate and raise alerts on open technical points, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Participate in team meetings, sharing technical expertise and lessons learned.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant Engineer grade in electrical or equivalent experience in electrical design.
  • Cable sizing, equipment installation, and design of electrical networks.
  • Earthing and protections, with a focus on nuclear power projects.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with Naviswork and nuclear power applications.
