Electrical Design Engineer Role

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing temporary electrical services design solutions for Hinkley 'C' Common Building Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement temporary electrical services solutions that meet project requirements.
  2. Ensure design integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety, and sustainability for defect-free handover.
  3. Collaborate with the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor to ensure regular information flow and compliance with CDM requirements.
  4. Develop design solutions for electrical distribution, lighting, sockets, plant and equipment supplies, fire alarm and detection systems, and general support solutions.
  5. Review and check vendor documents for electrical compliance with project specifications.
  6. Support the Design Manager and contribute to design/construction reviews and sign-offs.
  7. Identify and mitigate design risks, communicating residual risks to others.

Requirements:

  1. HNC & HND in electrical installation services.
  2. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to build relationships with designers and project teams.
  3. Promotion of innovation and continuous improvement in design.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Trimble Pro Design software.
  5. Detailed knowledge of codes of practice, particularly temporary services designer duties and responsibilities under CDM and other regulatory requirements.
  6. Strong focus on team performance, training, mentoring, and integration with client and alliance teams.
