About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business during planning cycles, analysing operating performance, and identifying risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the business in planning cycles, focusing on cost management and analysis
  • Conduct thorough analysis of price variances, material losses, and production volumes
  • Review and analyse operating performance versus plan, identifying areas for improvement
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support forecasting and cost analysis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage cost journals and accruals, leveraging knowledge of the business
  • Produce monthly management reports for costs, providing insights for informed decision-making
Requirements
  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent) or degree in a related field
  • Expert MS Excel skills, with ability to handle complex data sets
  • Excellent data management and communication skills, with confidence to share ideas
  • Collaborative team player with problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong time management, organisation, and planning skills
