Behavioural Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to students who may be struggling with the curriculum due to their needs.
* Adapt and tailor learning from class teachers for students to ensure they feel and are successful.
* Communicate effectively with staff, colleagues, and parents/carers via telephone and email when necessary.
* Be a positive role model for students and use the school's reward system fairly to encourage positive attitudes and behaviours.
* Utilize classroom behaviour management skills to assist students in demonstrating positive behaviour and overcoming their barriers to learning.
Ideal Candidate:
* Calm and resilient when dealing with challenging situations.
* Positive can-do attitude and a willingness to participate in class activities.
* Flexibility within the general day-to-day running of the classroom.
* Experience working with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and SEN.
* Passion and care for children with various learning disabilities.
* Creative and 'out-the-box' mentality when facilitating learning.
