Exciting Opportunity for a Passionate and Motivated Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating different areas of the emergency department, including the resuscitation areas, and will have the opportunity to work in all areas, including children's CYPU alongside the registered children's nurses to increase your skill set and competency.

Our department has a co-located Urgent Care Centre, a children's CYPU, and access to SDEC and AMA for direct referrals. We recognize that training and development opportunities are vital for a happy and competent workforce, and we have an ED-specific Clinical Practice Education (CPE) team dedicated to the development of our nurses to support a modern career framework.

As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be required to support the senior and junior team in ensuring the needs of our patients are met through the delivery of high-quality care. You will be actively involved in retention and recruitment, and will also be responsible for link roles, giving you the opportunity to drive change and improve standards.
