Main Job Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for palliative and end-of-life care to join our Community-based Team in West Devon.

Key Duties
  • Provide palliative care in the community, managing symptoms, administering medication, and supporting patients and their families through the end-of-life process.
  • Create care plans and ensure care is person-centered.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimise patient comfort and family understanding.
  • Play a crucial role in advance care planning and possess advanced communication skills to effectively support patients and their families.

  • Competitive salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 5 £28,407 to £34,581 pro rata per annum, plus enhancements, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Be a UK licensed driver with access to a car and business insurance.
  • Experience in NHS or another relevant care setting in palliative care.
  • Ability to work in a complex and stressful environment and demonstrate appropriate coping mechanisms.
  • Flexibility to work across settings to support projects.

This role will be subject to receiving a satisfactory enhanced DBS criminal record check.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
  • Relevant post-registration training in palliative care/end-of-life care.
