Job Summary:

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of Stanton House, a rapidly growing technology business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, driving the budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company's financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic planning, M&A activity, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis to drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to understand their financial needs and provide financial guidance and support.
  • Serve as a key business partner to the CFO, CEO, and private equity investors, offering financial expertise to influence strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial results to both internal stakeholders and external investors.
  • Work closely with private equity backers to support due diligence, financial structuring, and integration of potential acquisitions.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, including capital expenditure, product development, and market expansion initiatives, and provide financial recommendations.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks while maximising opportunities.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place to safeguard the company's assets and support business growth.
  • Lead and develop a small but high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the FP&A function.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong track record in FP&A, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in financial modelling, strategic planning, and business partnering at a senior level.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems.
  • A strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and a focus on driving business performance.
  • Proactive, with a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and develop a small team.
