We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Officer to join our team at Reed. As a Commercial Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our business development activities, creating commercial proposals, and managing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Proposal Development: Support the development of commercial proposals and business-winning activities, ensuring that all proposals are well-researched and meet the client's needs.
- Cost Estimation and Contract Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates and commercial proposals for various customers, ensuring compliance with business and governance procedures.
- Negotiation and Contract Administration: Negotiate and finalize bids and contracts with the support of the Commercial Manager, ensuring that all documentation is approved in line with delegated authorities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Manage customer purchase orders and contracts, ensuring that all documentation is approved in line with delegated authorities, and maintain good customer relationships.
- Commercial Agreement Management: Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with export control requirements.
- Workload Management: Manage workload within an assigned portfolio, addressing any conflicts or priorities, and provide support to meetings and maintain Commercial Management Plans relevant to the portfolio.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, and proven experience in a commercial role, preferably within similar contracting environments.
- Skills and Qualifications: Resilience and tenacity, especially during high-intensity bid activities, strategic thinking, excellent numeracy and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel skills, and ERP platforms (Syteline preferred).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain UK SC and/or Known Consignor clearance if required.
