The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee exit. Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a positive working relationship with local trade union representatives to achieve business goals
* Effectively communicating people-related initiatives and strategy to the site workforce
* Delivering training for all people managers
* Advising managers on the terms and conditions of employment
* Driving compliance against people KPIs, such as absence and turnover, to track and determine progress in addressing gaps
* Collating and analysing HR data to develop insights; generating reports for business use
* Delivering an engagement and wellbeing agenda and tracking progress against engagement action plans
* Driving improvement in diversity and inclusion
* Delivering continuous improvement of candidate experience from recruitment through to onboarding
* Maintaining a positive relationship with areas of expertise within the HR team as well as Centres of Excellence; promoting cohesion with the ER team, recruitment and L&D
The ideal candidate will have a CIPD qualification and experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with trade unions. They will also possess excellent influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, respect, and openness.
