Job Title: Warehouse & Dispatch Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse & Dispatch Controller to join our team at Cleone Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse and dispatch department, ensuring efficient and effective management of our inventory and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch:

  • Liaise with the sales administration office to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment;
  • Coordinate the picking and distribution of goods to customers, ensuring effective stock rotation and minimal stockouts;
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues;
  • Ensure the dispatch area and yard are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organization;
  • Perform regular checks on chillers and freezers to ensure they are functioning correctly and report any malfunctions to the Refrigeration Engineer;

Delivery:

  • Liaise with customers and third-party distributors to ensure smooth and efficient delivery operations;
  • Coordinate and maintain the fleet and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and meet company standards;
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of pallets in and out, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste;
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Set and maintain high standards for dress code and behavior towards customers;

General Warehousing:

  • Ensure high standards of quality, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping are maintained within the warehouse and dispatch operation;
  • Liaise with production and planning teams to ensure accurate dispatch requirements and order of production;
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues;
  • Assist in compiling management reports and contributing to health and safety initiatives;
  • Control and organize storage and inventory space, ensuring efficient use of resources;

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in warehouse and dispatch operations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor;
  • Logistics and supply chain management skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly motivated and commercially minded with strong attention to detail;
  • Proactive approach to managing work priorities and meeting deadlines;
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency;

Desirable:

Previous team management experience in food manufacturing is advantageous.
