Job Title: Performance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Specialist to join our team at Cameron Kennedy. As a key member of our performance team, you will be responsible for providing a hands-on approach to data reporting, automation, and dissemination across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the performance team in ensuring the ongoing quality and accuracy of reporting performance measurement
  • Take initiative with special projects and successfully contribute, execute, and advise where appropriate
  • Contribute to the PaDS BAU overhaul project, improving legacy processes and consolidating and automating where necessary
  • Ensure that all reporting is produced within mandated and regulatory frameworks with high attention to detail
  • Prepare, interpret, and investigate anomalies in data sets and/or processes and ensure permanent resolutions
  • Assist in the automation of the production of performance reports ex post risk and characteristics information plus any other manual tasks
  • Manage and help performance with ad-hoc client (internal and external) queries
  • Maintain the data stored within the central database and be the gatekeeper for any required changes or bespoke information requests
  • Ability to be innovative and come up with solutions that will further add value to the business (and allow for personal development) liaising with UK stakeholders to improve efficiency on their BAU processes

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail, numerate, and logical in their approach to problem-solving
  • Data analytic and automation languages such as Python or R are required
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL knowledge is required
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility and to be able to multi-task and support the team
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Possess a high aptitude of analytical and mathematical skills which are required for calculating, reviewing, understanding, and disseminating data
  • Must show superior customer service by generating and responding to client requests in a timely and accurate manner, as well have the interpersonal skills to interact with both internal and external clients
  • Able to communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a prerequisite. Adept with writing macros using VBA to manipulate large datasets is desirable
  • Must show the ability to meet deadlines, establish priorities, and concentrate on detailed information sometimes under stressful conditions
  • The ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical even when working remotely

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mathematics, Finance, Computing, or a related field
  • Experience with the use of Factset, Eagle, and/or Bloomberg is desirable
  • Previous related experience in the asset management industry and demonstrating a thorough understanding of both retail and institutional products across various asset classes
  • Widespread knowledge of investment products
  • Knowledge and experience of fund investment performance/attribution is an advantage
  • Candidates with a CFA/ or equivalent certification will be desirable
