Fixed Term 20 Month Apprenticeship Opportunity

Are you eager to acquire new skills while pursuing a career and gaining a qualification simultaneously?

We are seeking a Business Administration Apprentice to join our Finance & Public Value Directorate. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Assistant who supports the Director of Finance & Public Value, as well as five Senior Managers within the Leadership Team.

Your daily responsibilities will be diverse and may include: managing diaries, participating in meetings to take notes and make decisions, organizing agendas, coordinating reports, meeting deadlines, working on small projects, and engaging with a wide range of individuals within Finance and Public Value, as well as other departments, Councillors, and external stakeholders.

This apprenticeship will last approximately 20 months, providing an excellent opportunity to balance work with study.

You will be expected to complete the Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard Level 3, which encompasses on-the-job training to enhance your knowledge, skills, and behaviors in a business administration context, along with Functional Skills in Maths and English (if necessary).

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive support from the Council and a training provider to successfully achieve the learning outcomes needed for your end-point assessment, which will be evaluated by an external awarding body.

We offer a competitive starting salary of £22,737 per annum, along with 26 days of holiday, flexible working arrangements, training opportunities, entry into a pension scheme, and potential for career advancement.
