About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Community Support Worker to join our team at Bedfordshire Supported Housing Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, motivation, and support to our dedicated community support workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular supervision and coaching to our community support worker team to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality care to our service users.
  • Monitor adherence to policy and procedure, ensuring that our values are always upheld and our service users receive the best possible care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external healthcare professionals, including GPs, social workers, and community nurses, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Act as a key worker to a small group of service users, providing personalized care and support to meet their unique needs.
  • Conduct regular service user reviews and update care plans and risk assessments to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Accompany service users to appointments and provide practical and emotional support as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in caring for individuals with a range of conditions, including mental health problems, physical health issues, learning disabilities, and dementia.
  • Strong management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Full driving license and ability to drive safely and efficiently.
